CIPS and Gradient Surveys

To date a steady flow of quality work has been received in the UK from both Oil and Gas pipeline operators.

To date, Cath-Tech International Ltd has been awarded contracts for 4 consecutive years to survey in excess of 700 KM of fuel oil pipelines in the UK for a major Fuel Oil Pipeline Operator. We have also carried out essential remedial and upgrading works to the some of the cathodic protection systems on these pipelines and in storage facilities. Presently we have orders for the third and forth quarter of 2006 totalling more than 250 km of work, for CIPS / Gradient surveys.

The former British Gas PLC piped natural gas from offshore fields to the customers doorstep and operated a UK wide transmission network of approximately 50,000 Kilometres. Over the past 3 years the company has been sold into individual Network Operation Companies and Cath-Tech International Ltd continues to receive enquiries and orders for surveys from these operators. Presently we have orders for the third and forth quarter of 2006 totalling more than 200 km of work, which mainly is for CIPS surveys. This is nationwide and for varying companies.

The BTC (Baku-Tiblisi-Ceyan) Pipeline between Baku in Azerbaijan and Ceyan in Turkey has been constructed to ship crude oil from the Caucuses to Mediterranean for worldwide export by Tanker. Cath-Tech International are presently completing a CIPS survey to approx 280km of the route in North Eastern Turkey.

Transformer Rectifier Replacement

The aim of this project is to replace the client’s old rectifier which is un-serviceable. This and the cable connecting the rectifier to the ground bed is causing the ground bed to fail.
