This upcoming project will involve carrying out over 200km of CIPS and DCVG Surveys on several pipelines for a UK Gas Pipeline Contractor. The aim is to provide the client with an accurate and reliable report. The job involves members of our team going out on site and walking the pipeline with a Hexcorder taking on and off potentials.
We install current interrupters at the transformer rectifiers giving us on readings every 0.8 seconds and off readings every 0.2 seconds. Static loggers are used during the survey to correlate and stray current interference found on the pipeline. The DCVG readings are taken approximately 6-7 metres away from the CIPS Surveyor. Two members of the team work on the site gathering the data and one other member of the team collates the data and inputs it into our system then creates the reports.
We also have a second upcoming CIPS project. This project involves 50km of surveying to be carried out for Scotia Gas. We are providing the same level of excellent service as described above.
